100mm Puukko AEB-L Stacked Leather

100mm puukko style knife made from AEB-L stainless steel cryo treated in liquid nitrogen and hardened to 61 Rockwell.

The handle is made from stacked and compressed, bark tanned sambar deer leather. Comes with a matching sheath.

AEB-L is a stainless steel originally developed for use in razor blades. It is one of the toughest stainless steels on the market. It can reach and handle high hardness levels, thin edges with acute angles and is very resistant to chipping and breaking.
It holds an excellent edge and outperforms almost all carbon and simple tool steels in this regard.
It is easy steel to sharpen and maintain and these attributes combined with good corrosion resistance make it a very user friendly steel and an excellent choice for a hard working knife.
