100mm Lightweight Skinner Aeb-l Orange

100mm skinner made from AEB-L stainless steel hardened to 62 rockwell, with a light weight cord wrapped handle.
This is my favorite blade design for a general purpose skinning and field dressing knife. It's compact and lightweight. The blade is slender but still has a nice radius to the belly and the tip is pointed enough for opening joints and detailed work but still forgiving for the initial skinning cuts and gutting.
AEB-L is a stainless steel originally developed for use in razor blades. It is one of the toughest stainless steels on the market. It can reach and handle high hardness levels, hold thin edges with acute angles and is very resistant to chipping and breaking.
It does not have the abrasion resistance of powder metallurgy steels like magnacut or s35vn but holds an excellent edge and outperforms almost all carbon and simple tool steels in this regard.
It is easy steel to sharpen and maintain and these attributes combined with good corrosion resistance make it a very user friendly steel and an excellent choice for a hard working knife.
The handle is made from orange g10, with carbon fiber pins and lanyard tube.
