105 Skinner S35VN Myall

105mm skinner made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel hardened to 61.5 rockwell.

This is my favorite design for a general purpose skinning and field dressing knife. It's compact and lightweight. The blade is slender but still has a nice radius to the belly and the tip is pointed enough for opening joints and detailed work but still forgiving for the initial skinning cuts and gutting.

S35vn is a high-end power metallurgy stainless steel. It makes an outstanding knife with a great balance between edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance.

The handle is made from stabilized curly grained western myall with carbon fiber pins and lanyard tube.

Comes with a leather sheath made from bark tanned fallow deer leather that I make from home from animals I hunt.
