120mm Boning Knife 52100 Grey Box

120mm boning knife made from 52100 high carbon steel, hardened to 61 rockwell with a hand sanded satin finish. The blade has been hollow ground with a convex edge to strike a balance between a strong blade with a fine but durable edge.

The handle Is made from stabilized curly grained grey box, with g10 liners, carbon fiber pins and a stainless lanyard tube.

Comes with a leather sheath made from my home tanned fallow deer leather.

Stabilizing wood is a process where timber is submerged in a vacuum chamber filled with a heat cured resin. The vacuum is then applied and all the air is sucked out of the grain of the timber and the resin pulled through saturating it completely. The resin soaked timber is then cured in an oven leaving it much more durable and highly water resistant.
