75mm neck knife made from AEB-L stainless steel hardened to 61 rockwell.
The handle is wrapped hardened leather. I do this by soaking a strip of leather in water, tightly wrapping the hanlde and then baking it. This shrinks and hardens the leather, locking it onto the handle.
This is a similar process to how leather armor was hardened back in the day. It makes a durable, grippy handle that will patina nicely with use.
Comes with a kydex/leather sheath with a neck lanyard.

AEB-L is a stainless steel originally developed for use in razor blades. It is one of the toughest stainless steels on the market. It can reach and hold high hardness levels, and handle thin edges with acute angles while being very resistant to chipping and breaking.
It is an easy steel to sharpen and maintain. These attributes combined with good corrosion resistance make it a user friendly steel and an excellent choice for a hard working knife.
