95mm Half Tang small skinner Magnacut Myall

95mm small skinner made from cpm-magnacut stainless steel, cryo treated in liquid nitrogen and hardened to 63 rockwell.
A strong argument can be made that magnacut is the best all around knife steel available today.
It combines balanced high levels of abrasion resistance, toughness and corrosion resistance that haven't been available in a single steel before its development.
Check out this link to an article from Dr. Larrin Thomas, the creator of mangacut about its development for more information.

The handle is made from stabilized western myall, an extremely dense timber native to the arid regions of southern Australia.
The tang runs through half the length handle. This is to save steel and reduce cost and weight. In my testing of this handle construction in knives with light blades I have found no reduction in practical strength or durability compared to a full tang.
The handle is fixed with carbon fiber pins and lanyard tube.
Comes with a leather sheath made from my wattle bark tanned leather with a clip installed that makes it easy to securely clip onto a pocket, belt or waistband.
Blade length- 95mm
Blade thickness- 2.3mm
Overall length- 212mm
Weight with sheath- 117 grams
Stabilizing wood is a process where timber is submerged in a vacuum chamber filled with a heat cured resin. The vacuum is then applied and all the air is sucked out of the grain of the timber and the resin pulled through saturating it completely. The resin soaked timber is then cured in an oven leaving it much more durable and highly water resistant.
